The Bar Exam superstitions or pamahiin

The bar exams have seen plenty of pamahiins throughout the years. "Pamahiin" is a belief that is said to bring either good or bad fortune.

Every year, the bar examinees condition themselves to follow these beliefs while some... not so much. The most popular ones are the following:

1. Red Underwear (each day)
2. Haircut is prohibited during review and during exam (but after the exam, you can now cut your hair)
3. Coins/Paper Money inside your shoes
4. Kick the chair of the person in front of you (after each exam)

While here are the not so popular ones:

1. Wear anything red (may it be a shirt, hairtie, bracelet, etc..)
2. When you exit the testing center, do not look back at all!
3. Never discuss your answers after the exam

Is it okay to follow any of these? Yes! There is nothing wrong in doing any of those. For as long as you pair it with proper studying/review, anything that can boost your morale for the bar is a good thing.

Did I personally do any of those mentioned?

Yes, but only two. First is I wore a red hairtie and second is that I had a coin inside my shoes.

Did I pass? Yes.

Was it the reason I passed? No, but it did help boost my sanity.
